Jim started doing irrigation work in Polk County in 1994 — back when most of this area was still being developed. He learned every part of the trade from the ground up: digging trenches, pulling wire, troubleshooting systems other contractors couldn’t figure out.
“I didn’t go into this business to get rich quick. I went into it because I was good at it and people kept calling me back.”
Over three decades, Jim built his entire reputation one yard at a time. No advertising, no billboards — just word of mouth from satisfied customers who kept recommending him to their neighbors.
His specialty is troubleshooting — the kind of systematic, root-cause thinking that most contractors skip because it takes longer. Jim has been called in to fix other contractors’ work more times than he can count, usually because someone patched a symptom instead of solving the problem.
